Gem Elevator Slot Review 2024

Pragmatic Play launched Gem Elevator on August 29, 2024. The slot theme features a bearded miner conveniently placed on one side of the screen.

This review will reveal the game setup and bonus features.

Game Setup

When you open the game, you notice 6 reels and 5 rows. Landing winning combinations occurs by cluster pays rather than the usual paylines at a default RTP of 96.53%.

The other RTPs are 95.51% and 94.54%.

To get going, you need to bet a minimum of 0.20 or a maximum of 240 for a shot at the maximum win. On high volatility, the maximum win is worth 10,000x.

The symbols for winning combinations are both low and high-paying. The low pays are four smaller gems of blue, purple, green, and orange, while the high pays are larger gems of green, blue, purple, and red.

Landing five matching symbols awards 0.25x to 2.5x, whereas landing 13 to 30 OAK symbols awards 10x to 500x.

The nugget, the wild symbol, lands on all reels and replaces all regular paying symbols except the scatter.

Bonus Features

Elevator nudge feature

After each win or tumble spin, any number of reels will be selected at random to be nudged up or down up to five times. Even if wins occur and are awarded during nudges, the nudging continues.

During the nudge feature, wilds may appear on the screen, carrying multipliers from 1x to 10x. If the wilds are not part of a winning line during a nudge, their multiplier value doubles.

Free spins

Landing 4, 5, or 6 scatters activates the Free Spins round, which awards 10, 15, or 20 free spins, respectively. Every time a free spin happens, a randomly selected reel moves up or down at least one position.

For extra free spins, you need to land 4, 5, or 6 scatters, which award 5, 8, or 10 free spins, respectively.

Feature buy

If you don’t want to go through the hassle of playing through the game to reach the bonus round, Feature Buy will help. To activate the Free Spins round, you only need to place 100x the bet to guarantee that 4, 5, or 6 scatters land.

Verdict

While Gem Elevator has few bonus features, it stands out for its wilds, which have multipliers that double every time they don't form part of a win. Additionally, Feature Buy allows you to jump straight into the excitement of Free Spins.
