NetEnt released Space Wars XXXtreme Megaways on August 13 2024. The video slot has a space theme with stars, clouds and aliens. Additionally, there is a container pod with aliens on the right-hand side that links it to the original game.

Wilds may also land on reels 2, 4 and 6. 

Bonus Features 

Space Wars XXXtreme Megaways has only two bonus features which are respins and XXXtreme spins which we’ll explain below. 

Respins

Once a win is calculated after a winning combination, a respin triggers. All symbols that are part of the winning combination appear stacked for the respin to create a new winning combination.

Xxxtreme spins

XXXtreme spins are an additional betting option that guarantees a specific amount of Megaways occur on the reels. They have two options which are 10x the bet which guarantees 10000 Megaways on the spin or 75x the bet which guarantees 50000 Megaways.

Verdict 

Space Wars XXXtreme Megaways brings a third instalment to the Space Wars franchise. While Space Wars 2 was unique, Space Wars XXXtreme Megaways has hints of the original Space Wars. 

What it does differently is it amplifies effects through the Megaways and increases some of the numbers. Additionally, it adds a unique feature of stacking winning symbols on the respin for suspense especially when there are several Megaways. 

The most outstanding feature of the entire game is the XXXtreme spins feature that guarantees Megaways by placing 10x or 75x the bet for 10000 or 50000 Megaways respectively.
