Holstein Kiel have done amazingly throughout the whole season, and a win here will be the cherry on top, and a deserving reward for their performances. Manager Ole Werner will hope will finish the job in the second leg, and get a taste of premium football for next season. Their recent form is not the most encouraging, but their offensive playing style has proven to be a winning formula for them, so expect it here as well. After finishing third in the 2. Bundesliga, they focused on these two games, and their hard-work has paid off, and they’re now just 90 minutes away from achieving their dream.

FC Koln have had a dreadful season so far, ending in 17th in the Bundesliga, struggling for goals, keeping balls out of their own net, and lack of form from key players. The Cologne natives are in a bad position, but considering their stature, experience, and ability, don’t bet against them to turn this one around and keep their place in the Bundesliga.

Arslan and Thesker from Kiel will miss the game due to injury, while van den Bergh is out suspended (yellow card acc). Obuz is the only player that will surely miss the game for Koln, while Rexhbecaj is a doubt, pending a medical and a fitness test.
