Verona VS Fiorentina Game Preview 19 April 2021

Two teams - one underperforming massively, while the other one is sitting comfortably mid-table. Surprise, surprise, Fiorentina are struggling this season badly, sitting in 16th, while Verona are currently 9th in Serie A. Fiorentina will look to turn their fortunes and make it to safety, while Verona will look to end the season on a high.

Verona will look to break their bad run of form which has seen them win only one of their previous five games, losing the other four. This downturn in form has been partly due to injuries and bad luck, but the season is slowly drawing to a close, which means they’ll need to dust themselves off and get going again. The fact the attackers of the team are not performing well is a cause for concern for coach Ivan Juric.

Fiorentina are in bad need of a win, given they’re getting dangerously close to the relegation zone, after winning just two in their last 10 games, drawing two and losing six. Newly-appointed coach Beppe Iachini will try to find a way to motivate his players and force a good ending of an underwhelming season, then set about restructuring and refreshing the team.

Injury-wise, both teams don’t have many players out, with M. Veloso and Vieira out for Verona, and Kokorin out for Fiorentina.
