Slavia Prague VS Arsenal Game Preview 15 April 2021

The surprise of this season’s Europa League takes on Arsenal at their home ground, with a result of 1-1 from the first leg. The Gunners will look to win the game, after being surprised by the Czechs, and move forward in a competition where they were considered to be favorites from the get-go.

The Czechs are having an amazing season in Europe, which is considered to be an overachievement by many. They were underdogs in the previous stage of the Europa League, but came out on top against Glasgow Rangers, and now managed to peg back Arsenal. At home, they’re cruising towards the title - they haven’t lost in the league, and are riding a wave of form that stretches quite a while back. Simply put, the Czechs mean business, and will definitely put up a fight tonight.

Arsenal on the other hand are going through a mixed bag, finding it hard to win games, and will look for a change of fortunes in this fixture, in what could prove to be a season-defining moment for them. They’re currently struggling to move up in the EPL, occupying the 9th position. Considering they want to play in the UCL, winning the EL seems to be their only shot at tasting European football next year.

Slavia Prague struggle with loads of players out injured or suspended, but their excellent depth should get them through. As for the Londoners, David Luiz and Kieran Tierney are definitely out, with hitman Aubameyang and playmaker Odegaard doubts, pending a fitness test later today.
