The quarter-final duels are here tonight!
The UEFA Champions League will soon get its competitors. The qualification process runs well, and tonight there will be more known semi-finalists. Some of those football clubs are the PSV Eindhoven and Galatasaray, who will face each other at Philips Stadion in Eindhoven. These two great clubs from the Netherlands and Turkey have a great tradition and army of loyal fans that would love to see their football club be part of the best football competition on the old continent. So tonight’s match will be another great football clash that will make one of these football teams step closer to their main goal.
PSV had a productive preparation period this month and played four friendly games. They won the first one against RWDM with a great result of 6:2. The next game was even greater in terms of PSV’s goal-scoring efficiency and beat Delbrucker with a fantastic 10:1. After that was the draw match against VfL Osnabrück (0:0). And their final preparation game was against PAOK where the team from Eindhoven won the duel with 1:0. So tonight Roger Schmidt has to bring the best of his team in this big game against Galatasaray, and use the home stadium advantage and make good results in the first leg of this duel.
Galatasaray on the other hand played only two friendly matches this summer, one against Din. Bucuresti where the Turkish team won the game with the result of 2:1, and Kasimpasa where Galatasaray won again with the result of 4:2. So tonight they are facing the real challenge in Eindhoven, where they have to bring the best they have in order to end up with a good outcome from this challenge and play the second leg with better chances to enter the semi-finale. Fatih Terim is a very experienced football manager, so it will be very interesting to see his approach at tonight’s game.
We expect a very exciting game, where both teams will play attacking football style, and PSV will be favorites for winning the game because they have the home stadium advantage.
