7-game series or new Champions tonight?
The NBA finals drama keeps getting more and more intense.
After the first two games in Phoenix, many people thought that the Suns were on a safe march to the title. But the Bucks have definitely proven that it’s not going to be a smooth ride. They have shown fantastic performance and beat the Suns three times in a row. So tonight it’s going to be very interesting to see the response from both teams at Milwaukee because this is a must-win situation for the Suns.
The Suns are having a fantastic season. Their great mix of experience and youth works just great. Their playoff journey went through some great series wins, starting from LA Lakers, to Denver Nuggets, and LA Clippers all the way to the NBA finals. As the Western Conference champions, they have the last great challenge, the eastern conference champions, Milwaukee Bucks. In the first two games, the Suns had absolute control of the games. In the opening game, they beat the Bucks with a score of 118:105 where Chris Paul and Devin Booker combined 59 points and didn't leave much chance for the team from Milwaukee. In the second game, Devin Booker and Mikal Bridges combined 58 points, and the Suns team beat the Bucks one more time. But when the series went in Milwaukee, the pace went in a different direction. Monty Williams’ boys lost three games in a row, and now they are in a position where they must win the sixth game in Milwaukee if they want to have an opportunity to play the seventh game and fight for the NBA trophy.
The Bucks on the other hand were waiting for this moment in the past few years, in their process of developing this great team with championship desires. So now they have their chance to crown their years of work and dedication. In this playoff series, they went through some great challenges starting with the Miami Heat, then the great 7 games series with Brooklyn Nets. The final one was at the eastern conference against the Atlanta Hawks where the Bucks won the series with 4:2 and became the champions on the east. So now they have the biggest challenge so far, the great NBA finale. After the bad start with the deficit of 2 lost games, the Bucks team played fantastic basketball and managed to win three games in a row. In the third game of the series, they beat the Suns with a score of 120:100 under the wing of their leader Giannis Antetokounmpos (41 points, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists). The fourth game was another winning performance from the Bucks with the final score of 109:103, where Khris Middleton (40 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists) exploded and led his team to victory. The last game in Phoenix was another fantastic basketball show when the star of the match was Jrue Holiday who besides the 27 points and 13 assists, he made the decision making steel over Booker and the game-winning alley-oop assist to Antetokounmpo. The final score was 123:119.
At the upcoming sixth game, we expect another tight game, where the Suns must win the duel if they want to have the 7th game opportunity. But the Bucks team will definitely do their best and use the great momentum they possess right now, and try to close the series, and celebrate the NBA Championship Trophy at their home arena in Milwaukee.
So you must tune in tonight and find out the outcome of the sixth game from this thrilling 2021 NBA finals.
